Clarice Locker Rorie
Clarice Rorie was born to the late Clara M. and Charlie A Locker, Sr. on February 5, 1953 in Norfolk County VA Clarice graduated from Rancocas Valley Regional High School, in Mt. Holly, NJ in 1971.
Clarice began attending Second Baptist Church, Mt. Holly, NJ in 1965 where she accepted Christ as her personal Savior, was baptized, and was active on the Junior Usher Board, Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Baptist Training Union, and the Mass and Senior Choirs. She later became a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, Burlington, NJ in 1993 where she continued her service for the Lord as a sunday School and Vacation Bible School teacher, a member of the Senior, Mass, and Women’s Choirs, Quest Ministry and The Abigail Ministry.
While in High School, Clarice was employed by Gregory’s Department Store, Burlington, NJ in the Accounting Department. Shortly after Graduation, she was employed by National Data Corporation in Cherry Hill, NJ for 19 years. Clarice was then employed by The Internal Revenue Service in Northeast Philadelphia, PA and after 5 years, Clarice was employed by The United States Postal Service in Cherry Hill, NJ where she recently Retired after 26 years.
Clarice enjoyed going on Cruises, which earned her the title of “cruisetanesta”. Clarice was also known for her Beautiful Smile, and she was especially known for giving the Best Hugs ever.
Clarice leaves to Cherish her Memory, her husband; Johnnie E. Rorie, son; David Locker (Christina), sister; Margaret Crawford (Winston), granddaughter; Alaina, daughter-in-law; Karen DeFiguerido, Son-in-law; Joseph Nichol (Erica), granddaughter-in-law; Brittany, aunts, uncles, cousins, church family, and a host of friends.
Clarice Locker Rorie, of Westampton, NJ departed this life on Monday, April 5, 2021. Celebration of Life will held Tuesday, April 13, 2021 11AM at the TL Hutton Family & Friends Funeral Services, 869 Beverly Road, Burlington, NJ. Family and friends may view 9 AM until time of service. Interment: Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, NJ. Services will be live stream 11AM at www.TLHuttonfuneralservices.com
