Eleanora Boyd Woodham Scharpf went home to her Lord and Savior on May 12, 2021.


Eleanora Boyd Woodham Scharpf daughter of Samuel Mosely & Mary Lee Cannon Boyd was born February 11, 1925 in Lumberton, NJ. She was a lifelong resident of Mt Holly, NJ. She received her formal education in Browns Mills, Mt Holly, Bordentown & Trenton, NJ. She worked for the WWII Defense Plant in Roebling, for the Sewing Factory Mt Holly for several years & among other places of employment.


Eleanora accepted the Lord at an early age. She loved the Lord and enjoyed going to church, fellow shipping with other Christains, and telling others about The Salvation and the goodness of God. She received a certificate of “Ministry of Salvation” (Credentials of Ministry) and was ordained on April 11, 1999. Her final words were “The Blood of Jesus”.


Eleanora had a soft spot for all animals & spent time rescuing & caring for them. As a result, she was appointed a Wildlife Rehabilitator.


Eleanora was a devoted wife and mother of 7 children, Selwyn L & Wayne preceded her in death.  She leaves behind Errington Jr (Elaine), Hamonica, Eleanora T, Doslyn, and Donovan (Danielle).  She also leaves behind a host of Grands, Great Grandchildren, and Great Great Grandchildren. She also leaves her loving sisters Sophronia Boyd Demby and Ida R Boyd Belton, also many Nieces, Nephews, Family & Friends.


She liked doing word fill-ins, many jigsaw puzzles, crocheting/knitting, gardening and made beautiful Rag Rugs which she enjoyed sharing, she was also musical with guitar and piano. She devoted many hours in beautifying her home and yard with flowers and trees. She was a woman with many talents, knowing how to wire a house and the use of many tools. She was a little bit of a farmer, musician, mechanic, and all-around handywoman.


People who met her found an inspiring fondness for her and appreciated her talents and gifts. She has left her footprints on each heart and will always be remembered.



A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the TL Hutton Family & Friends Funeral Services, 869 Beverly Road, Burlington, NJ. Family and friends may view from 10:00 am until time of service.  Masks must be worn. Interment: BGWCD Veteran Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ
