The Life Story of Kevin Robert Waldon

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at the day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

II Timothy 4:7-8

Kevin Robert Waldon, the son of Barbara D. Waldon-Allred and the late Joseph Lee Waldon, was born November 27, 1959, in Brooklyn, New York.  Kevin departed this life on July 19, 2021, at Willingboro Virtua Hospital, Willingboro New Jersey.

Kevin received his education in the New York Board of Education System and joined the United States Army at the age of 18. In 1980 he was honorably discharged; however, he was so honored to serve his Country that he re-enlisted back in 1981 and served in Lebanon. While serving, Kevin enjoyed playing basketball and boxing. He was honorably discharged again in 1982 and pursued his career as a truck driver for 35 years.  He retired as an HVAC Technician in 2013 from the Pentagon.

Kevin was an avid fisherman.  He enjoyed getting up early in the morning for a good fishing trip.  He was a dedicated dog owner and loved walking his dogs in the park, in addition to training other dogs on the weekends. Kevin had a passion for cooking.  He loved to experiment with different recipes and spices. It might not have sounded good, but it ended up tasting good! Kevin was also a sharp dresser and was a sports fanatic for all New York teams.

In 1997 Kevin met the love of his life, Monda.  They married May 15, 2010 and he remained devoted to her until the end.  Together they enjoyed traveling, going to the movies, watching sports, spending quality time at home with each other.  For the working parents of their nieces and nephews, they were deemed the “Traveling Parents” attending all sporting activities.  Being of equal yoke in their spiritual walk and their thirst for more knowledge of Christ, they journey to Albuquerque, New Mexico for further teaching and Baptism under the toluide of his brother and sister-in-law, Pastor John T Pearson and Co-Pastor Camelia D. Pearson. After returning to New Jersey, Kevin became a member of Delaware Valley Baptist Church East in Willingboro, New Jersey under the leadership of Reverend Dr. James L. Betner.

He was predeceased by his father Joseph Lee Waldon and his stepfather Benson Henry Allred (Hank).  He  leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Mondawena G. Holland -Waldon; his daughters Latisha A. Royal and Maijic Jackson; two sons Kevin Waldon Jr and Janeel (Annette) Ryan; mother Barbara D. Waldon-Allred; his sister Tracey (Roger) Phillip and his brother Vance Waldon; his half-sister Jamiel Butler and half-brother Kent (Brenda) Alleyne; step sisters Shannon Allred and Dana M. Allred;  his sister-in-law Camelia (Tom) Pearson; several grandchildren; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many cherished friends.

Kevin valued love of family, loyal regard for friends, the giving of oneself, and he possessed a wonderful sense of humor that will remain in our hearts forever.
