"The life of the dead is placed in the memory of the living"
Marcus Tullius Cicero
Larnada Williams was born January 8, 1961 in Kitzengen, Germany. She was the only child of the late Clarence C. Williams and the late Esther M. Williams (nee Davis). Larnada was affectionately called “Gal!” by her father and lovingly spoiled by her mother.
Larnada grew up in Burlington Township, New Jersey. Lagorce Square is where you would find her practicing her gymnastic skills and cheerleading routines. She enjoyed riding her bike to Scalesees (sic) Bridge, going to Fat Ladies, taking gymnastics lessons, hanging out in Bordentown, and let’s not forget Skimmer Adams football, where she met the “City” boys … just having fun! Larnada not only had a love for people but she was also a lifelong cat lover. Larnada’s last cat was Diva, whom she pre-arranged to be placed in a loving home.
Larnada was educated in Burlington Twp schools where she was a true “Falcon”. She made the Varsity Cheerleading squad as a freshman, became Captain of her squad senior year, and was named Homecoming Queen Runner-up for the class of 1979. After graduation, Larnada continued her education at Virginia State University. During her winter break, Larnada met Darryl Brown. They instantly fell in love, married and she moved to Philadelphia. It was in Philadelphia where Larnada began her career in retail sales while her husband attended Medical School. Stoney End Boutique became her home away from home. With her natural way with people and her flair for fashion, Larnada’s customers knew they could count on her honesty, which earned her the highest commissions amongst her co-workers.
Larnada was a lifelong Prince fan, loved Bruno Mars and she LOVED her E.A.G.L.E.S. Eagles!!!
Larnada eventually moved to Lumberton, NJ and continued to make dear friends. They loved her, took care of her, and they laughed with her. She was a bright light during the storm and a disco ball at night. In June 2006, Larnada was baptized and started attending Red Lion Faith Chapel. Her Pastor remembers the water was very cold that day and suggested she get baptized another day; however, Larnada was ready and said “no, let’s do this”. Most people who knew Larnada would say she had a zest for life, and she was often called “crazy Larnada” because she possessed a free spirit that was unique, authentic, and highly independent. She did not have a judgmental bone in her body. Larnada accepted all people for who they were and loved them regardless; for these reasons and many, many more…she will be truly missed and always loved.
Larnada is survived by a host of beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
May she Rest in Peace and in Paradise.
