"The life of the dead is placed in the memory of the living"

Leon Davis Jr.
Leon Davis, Jr. was born at Cooper Hospital in Camden New Jersey December 11, 1963, to Joycelynn and the late Leon Davis, Sr. He went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 6, 2021.
As a young man Leon fathered two children, Leon Davis, III and the late Sade Davis. Leon was joined in marriage to Adrienne Hearn on July 20, 2002. From this union came a set of twins, Catherine and Alexander, and a daughter Megan.
Leon was educated in the Glassboro school system. He graduated from Glassboro High School and Gloucester County Vocational School (now Gloucester County Institute of Technology - GCIT). Leon received his diploma in Sheet Metal at the age of 19 and he became a Certified Sheet-Metal Worker.
He began his career working for the Naval Shipyard in Philadelphia where he worked for five years. Over the next ten years Leon began working for Ebony Asbestos Removal, where he was described as a very hard-working man. Throughout his adolescents and adult life Leon picked up on various construction trade skills and landscaping work. He was good at laying floors, building walls, remodeling kitchens and bathrooms, hanging doors, roofing, planting, cutting grass, trimming, edging, etc. If there was a handy-man job or landscaping work to be done, Leon was the man to do it. His last position was with Ronald Marks Associates.
Leon always greeted people with his big Davis Smile, firm handshake, and his polite manners. His high attitude for life and his love of people preceded his showing up. Many people will be without someone to call on and missing Leon Davis, Jr.
Leon gave his life to the Lord at a very young age. And prior to that he experienced the healing power of God after running barefoot on hot coals as a young child. He had not one burn mark from the incident. Leon was baptized at Emmanuel Baptist Church, of Glassboro at the age of 12. Leon, his wife Adrianne, and children became members of Hopewell Baptist Church in 2018. They regularly attended church and Sunday School.
Leon Davis, Jr. was predeceased by his daughter Sade Davis, brother Albert Lee Davis, and father Leon Davis, Sr.
Leon leaves to cherish his memory: his wife of 20 years Adrienne Davis; three sons Brandon Ferrer and Leon Davis, III (both of Columbia, SC); Alexander Davis (Glassboro, NJ); daughters Catherine and Megan Davis (Glassboro, NJ); Two granddaughters Noel Davis and Malia Davis (Columbia, SC); his mother Joycelynn Davis (Glassboro, NJ) brother Sylvester Davis-Price (Marc) (Tulsa, OK); four sisters Jacqueline Davis (Glassboro, NJ); Tonya Bagby (Sicklerville, NJ ) Deanna Garlic (Edwin); and Quadiya Davis (both of Glassboro, NJ).
