Lillie Mae Venable was born November 7, 1941, in Jeffersonville, Georgia to Louis and Ida Glover. She was the oldest of three children from this union. Tina as she was affectionately known by family, loved to dance, bowl, and cook for family and friends.
She was educated in the school system in Bayonne, New Jersey where she met her husband, Chester Venable. They married on May 9, 1970, and moved to Willingboro, New Jersey where she resided for 49 years. In 1984, she joined Saints’ Memorial Community Church in Willingboro where she served on the usher board and sang in the Voices Choir. She was employed by the Willingboro Board of Education as a school bus driver for 34 years.
Her lovely smile and warm heart will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Preceding her in death were her parents, the late Louis and Ida Glover, brother, Alonzo, sister, Shirley Ross and eldest son, James Willie Glover.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving and devoted husband, Chester Venable. Children: Mary Venable-Payne (Darnell) White Plains, MD; Chester Eugene Venable, Jr. (Kimberly) Willingboro, NJ; Daughter-in-law, Sheila Glover; Grandchildren: Sheray Norfleet, Alexis and Darnell Payne; Great grandson, Charles Norfleet; Her siblings: Louis Glover, Jr., Mary Green, Bessie Ellison, Willie Ross, Bobby Ross, Benny Ross. Uncle: RC (Dick) Glover (Rose); Aunts: Dollie Paul, Ola Mae Glover and Jewel Daniels. Sister-in-laws: Ruby Venable and Sarah Lee Glover; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
