Myta V. Harris
Myta Valdez (Golden) Harris, beloved wife and mother, was born on October 29, 1962, in Mount Holly, NJ to the late Herman Golden and Bertha Merlene Grimes-Golden. Myta attended school in Burlington City and Township, along with Willingboro School system, where she completed her high school education. Myta transitioned to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 21, 2021.
After completing high school, Myta worked in food service for many years at Helen Fuld Medical Center in Trenton, NJ. She later work as a Certified Health Home Aide (CHHA) at Burlington Woods and Bayada Home Health Services. She worked as a Bails Bondman for many years with Nancy’s Bail Bond.
Myta married Zenas L. Harris in 1993. Myta was blessed with two wonderful children, Melanie Golden and Mark Golden.
Myta grew up under the leadership of the Bishop Roosevelt Flagg at Church of God of Belmont Street in Burlington, NJ. Myta surrendered her life to the Lord on February 1, 2009 and served as a dedicated member of Flagg Memorial Full Gospel Church of God under Shepherd Mother Edythe Flagg. She served in multiple departments within the church. She was lead of Diversified Plus fundraising team. She was an interictal part of the food service and shopping committees. Myta was known for helping the church find sales and the best bargains. Myta was also a member of the Old Testament Singers.
Myta loved her natural and spiritual family with all her heart. She had a way of making everyone feel like they were her absolute favorite. Myta had a special love for the young people and was known for her brown bag of snacks that she would distribute to the kids (even if that meant she would get in trouble with the parents). Myta begin a summer camp program called Camp Fun in the Sun.
Myta was preceded in death by her father, Herman Golden; her mother, Bertha Merlene Grimes-Golden; and her older sister, Patricia Smith. She leaves to mourn her husband, Zenas L. Harris; her children, Melanie Golden, Mark Golden, Terrell Spruell, Zanazz Conway, Denisha Conway, and Teena Conway; her granddaughter, Ameara Golden and many other grandchildren; two brothers, Herman Golden (Marie) and John Golden (Sanny); two sisters, Audrey McCurry and Carol Golden; three godchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends.
Myta V. Harris, of Burlington, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, March 31, 2021. Celebration of her Life will be held 11AM, Friday, April 9, 2021 at the Fountain Of Life Center, 2035 Columbus Rd, Florence, NJ. Family and friends view from 10am until time of service. Interment: Odd Fellows Cemetery, Burlington, NJ. Service to the family provided by the TL Hutton Family & Friends Funeral Services, 869 Beverly Road, Burlington, NJ.
