Sameil Marques Barrett born September 24, 1998,  was educated in the Burlington City School system. Sameil loved singing, dancing and flashing that beautiful smile. He had such a charming demeanor that would make you give him everything you had. He leaves behind his beautiful baby boy, Aaron Barrett, affectionately known as “Baby A”, his mother Tonya Bryant (Sam), Father Samuel Duncan (Pam), brothers Damon, Tyree and Taquan Barrett, Sisters Miesha and Samyra Barrett, nephews Tyree, Tyler, Caiden Barrett and Jaiden Smith, Aunts Staci Richardson, Demetrius Duncan-Carr (Jeff), Uncle Terry Thornton, grandmother Doris Duncan, Preceded in death grandmother Bettye Carpenter, grandfather Marvin Carpenter (Joan)and his favorite great grandmother Edna M. Brown, close cousins Alicia Barrett, Tanisha Wimbush and Shaniqua Powell. A host of family and friends who dearly loved him.

Lorrese Groce

Lorrese Groce

Lorrese Groce, daughter of the late Clinton A. and Gladys B. Groce was born on April 5, 1961 in Salem, NJ. She was one of nine children.  Lorrie as she was affectionately known, was raised by her Uncle and Aunt the late Joseph B. and Carsey H. Robinson. Lorrie received her education in the Burlington County School System and graduated high school in 1979. She went on to graduate from Burlington County College in 1981. 

 

Lorrie worked at Bayards Candy and was the manager of two different clothing stores. That experience probably started her love of clothing and shopping. Lorrie loved kids and turned that love into running an in-home daycare for many years. She loved her family and friends and she showed that at every opportunity she could. She had a great sense of humor and loved a good laugh. She was very artistic and loved to write poetry.

 

Lorrie was predeceased in death by her parents; Clinton A. and Gladys B. Groce; Uncle & Aunt Joseph B. and Carsey H. Robinson, three brothers; Clinton W. Groce, William S. Groce and LaVerne C. Groce, three sisters; Veronica A. Carr, Olivia Purnell and Dorothea C. Holmes, three special cousins;Alvester Underwood, Darryl Robinson and Keith Robinson. She leaves to cherish her memory the love of her life fiancé Frederick Jackson of Burlington, NJ; two sisters; Chicola Bryant(Willard) of Chocowinity, NC and Marilyn Hill(John) of Woodstown, NJ; sister-in- law Mary Groce of Grand Island, NY and brother-in-law Wayne A. Carr of Frederick, MD; 5 godchildren: 7 godsisters who she referred to as "her girls"; close friend Toni Moore and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. She will be greatly missed.

Celebration of life will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2020 11 AM at the TL Hutton Family & Friends Funeral Services, 869 Beverly Rd., Burlington, NJ. Family and friends may view from 10 AM until time of service. Interment: Lakeview Memorial Park, Cinnaminson, New Jersey

Priscilla Mack

Priscilla Mack was born on September 8, 1950 to the late Curley and Carrie Mack in Brooksville, Florida. She later relocated to Burlington, New Jersey in the early 60s and made that her permanent home. Priscilla accepted Christ early in life and was baptized at St. Peters Baptist Church in Burlington, NJ. Priscilla found her soul mate when she married the late Carlton White. Within that loving union brought forth 3 children. She was always known as being a devoted mother who was committed to her family and always there to help at a time of need. She was well liked and loved by her family and friends.

 

She was preceded in death by her 2 brothers: Will Jackson and Freddy Mack and 1 sister, Monica (Joyce) Wolf.

 

She leaves behind to cherish her memories; two brothers, Daniel Mack Copeland and Charles Henry. Her three children; Eric & Family (Ayana), Anasia Tamia, Rysheem Eric Jr., Asia, Sharyon, Eriza & Family (Frankie), Jazhanè- continue to rest princess, Justin, Kevin and Family (Brittany), Kevianna Kevin, Charelle Kenayah, Kevin Jr. Trinity, Amaya Addison, Amerie Amiamour, And a host of niece, nephews, cousins and other living relatives and friends; let today reflect a true celebration of her life.

Mr. Bennie Stewart was born on January 3, 1932, in Monroe County, Georgia to the parentage of the late Mr. Alonzo Stewart and the late Mrs. Zillia Watson Stewart. On May 4, 2022, God sent his special angels to his bedside at Marcella Nursing Facility in Burlington, New Jersey to call him home. He was also predeceased by his wife, Genell McCullough Stewart; brothers, Mr. Lindburgh Stewart and Mr. William Mal “Cleo” Stewart; sisters, Miss Dorothy Stewart and Mrs. Kansadie Stewart Weems; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Lillie Ruth Stewart, Mrs. Julia H. Stewart, Mrs. Juanita S. Stewart, Mrs. Ann Towns Stewart, Margaret Hodges, Lutisha McCullough, Nettie Muse, Louise Flippen, Susie Redmond and Gladys McCullough; brothers-in-law, Messrs. Elzy, Stewart, Arthur, Robert L., Lee H., Ralph and James McCullough.

 He joined Antioch Baptist Church in Monroe County, Georgia at an early age. Upon moving to Philadelphia, he attended Childs Memorial Baptist Church to continue his spiritual journey. Later, he joined Christ Like Pleasant Green Baptist Church where he served as a trustee.

Mr. Stewart was educated in the Monroe County, Georgia School System. He moved to Philadelphia, PA and worked for the Vicks Chemical Company for 34 years, receiving accolades for longevity and quality of service over the years.

He married Ms. Genell McCullough in July 1962. To this union, one child was born, Aaron Bernard Stewart.

Mr. Stewart was a devoted husband and father, a kind and gentle spirit who loved and cared deeply about his family. His hobbies were photography, board games and professional sports, especially baseball and basketball. He also enjoyed looking at beautiful cars and tinkering with old ones.

In addition to his son, Aaron Bernard, he leaves to cherish his precious memory, granddaughter Chanell and great granddaughter Saniyah; two brothers, Mr. Sidney Stewart, Sr., Philadelphia, PA, and Dr. Mac A. Stewart (Tena), Columbus, OH; brother-in-law Mr. Albert T. Weems, Cartersville, GA;  sister-in-law Mrs. Agnes McDowell, Ware Shoals, SC, as well as nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Lamont Cornell Sharp

 
Lamont Cornell Sharp

 

Lamont Cornell Sharp, son of George U. And M. Ellen Brown-Sharp was

born on June 13,1952 in rural Sharptown, MD (San Domingo). After a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, he departed this life on Friday, May 6, 2022 at the Deborah Hospital Emergency Room,

 

Lamont was educated in the Maryland Public School System, Having been preceded by the death of his mother in 1967 and his father in 1971, he and his two brothers moved to New Jersey to live with their older, Eubert. Lamont had recently graduated from Mardela Springs High School and quickly found employment at Mc Guire Air Base.

 

In 1972 he joined the the United Stats Army where he served 11 years as a military policeman. During a tour in Korea, he met and married Sang Sun Pak and they were blessed with 42 years of marriage. Lamont was a quiet man who enjoyed fishing, hunting and photography.While serving his 32nd year working in the Distribution Center at the US Post Office in Toms River, he was unable to survive the dreaded illness.

 

Lamont was preceded in death by his youngest brother ,Benjamin and six 

step=brothers and sisters.Left to cherish many memories: his wife,Sang, two brothers, Warner and Eubert (Leathia),half-sister Winnie George of R.I., six nieces, two nephews, several cousins and friends. 

Lamont C. Sharp of Browns Mills, NJ, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022.

Andra Marie Williams

 
Andra Marie Williams

 

Andra Marie Williams was born September 17,1944 in Lake Wales, Florida to James and Ruth Montgomery.  She was a graduate of Roosevelt High School and continued her education at Florida A&M University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English.

Upon receiving her degree, Andra made the move to Philadelphia, PA to live with her uncle and aunt to begin her working career. She began her career with Ridge/Tioga District Assistance Office, where she began as a field social worker and worked her way up to the role of Supervisor.  She completed her tenure with many accolades and retired after of 35 years of service.

After retirement, Andra began to split her time between New Jersey and Florida. While in Florida, Andra started a women’s ministry group, “Ruth’s Ministry”, named and dedicated after her late mother. The group would gather once a month to worship over a breakfast spread prepared by Andra.

She will always be remembered as a classy, God-fearing woman who was not afraid to speak her mind and went out her way to help others.

Andra departed this life on May 4, 2022, she was preceded in death by her parents: James and Ruth Montgomery. She leaves to cherish in her memory, one daughter, Crystal Williams; one son, Terrance Williams and three granddaughters: Andrea, Aaliyah and Journee. Two sisters, Alcatrina Allen (Al Allen) and Louise Simmons and goddaughter Shondell Morgan. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
