Princeton Hunter Bacon

Princeton Hunter Bacon

Princeton Hunter Bacon was born on March 14th, 2014. He was gifted to parents, Darcel Mitchell and Clinton Bacon, and he was the only boy of Darcel’s five children. He went home to be with the Lord on August 22nd, 2021, at the precious age of 7 years old.

It's said that God doesn’t make mistakes, and it's no mistake that God chose Darcel to be Princeton's mother for his short journey on this Earth. Darcel shared her heart with all her kids, but little Princeton (also known as Goinky) was her heartbeat. And deep inside he probably knew it.

A handsome little boy with a royal name, Princeton was born with cerebral palsy and epilepsy, but he didn’t see it as a disability. He knew he was different, but God made him special. Princeton was a fighter! He endured numerous hospital stays, procedures, and surgeries, but he didn’t let it break his spirit.  You see, God knew what Princeton would have to encounter, and He put a special spirit inside him. A courageous spirit, with a strong will to live and enjoy his life. And he did! He was learning to walk and communicate. He even graduated from Pre-K. Amazing!

Princeton knew about love, kindness, and caring because that's what he received from his mother, his sisters, and his entire family. His smile could light up the darkest room and his hugs could melt your heart. Laughter and happiness filled his life.  He loved playing with his sisters, pulling their hair. And sitting in his favorite chair watching hours and hours of SuperWhy, his favorite show. And we can’t forget one of his most favorite people in the world -- his nurse Mom Manju.

She was Princeton’s nurse since 2017. Mom Manju loved and cared for Princeton like he was her own.

Princeton is survived by his parents, Darcel JD. Mitchell, and Clinton R. Bacon Jr., his sisters, Lelani, Aralynn, Khloe, and Zoey, his grandparents Lisa Mitchell, Ronald Gibson (wifeTonya), Clinton Bacon Sr. (wife Sha-Sha), and Kimberly Edwards, his Aunts Sheree Mitchell, Leah Mitchell, Kimberly Crawford, and Alara Bacon, bonus Dad Kendall Wicker, nurse Mom Manju Faison, honorary grandfather George Lumpkin, and a host of great aunts and uncles, cousins, and family friends.
