Ronald Johnson was born on September 5, 1958, in East Meadow, New York.

Ronald graduated from Westside High School in Newark, New Jersey. He was very athletic in track and fields, where he won the state championship. Upon graduating high school, Ronald enlisted in the United States Army in 1977. He served about 3 years, then was Honorably Discharged. Ronald had earned an Overseas Service Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, and Air Assault Badge.

After serving his country, Ronald then moved to Burlington, NJ in 1985. Ronald began working for U.S. Pipe in Burlington, New Jersey where he retired after dedicating 25 years of working on the site. He also worked for the Masonic Home in Burlington, NJ assisting the elderly. He recently retired after 10 years in April 2021. He worked very hard and seldomly missed work.

Ronald enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, family, and friends. Ronald was known to call you about five times a day just to see what you're doing and to make sure you're at work. Ronald loved to watch movies and watch his favorite football team play. He was a diehard New York Giants fan. Those that knew him, knew they could not tell him differently about his team as he would argue you down about the Giants.

Ronald was a great man, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Ronald was a hardworking man who was very helpful, supportive, dependable, and a great provider to his children.

Ronald has four beautiful children who he leaves to cherish his loving memories: Andre Simmons (Nikki) (mother; Camille Simmons), Bolivia Hawthorne and Shannell Johnson (mother; Felicia Hawthorne) and Trey Johnson (mother; Louretha “Ree” Ginyard). Grandchildren: Janek Simmons, Jayden Harris, Jameer Harris, Eric Jenkins and Nine’Alyse Thomas. Sisters: Pearline Johnson and Claudette Johnson-Rogers (Cleon). Brothers: Anthony Johnson, David Johnson, Charlie Johnson, Marvin Ramey (Karen), Ralph Johnson (Kim), Teddy Johnson (Shonna) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his eldest living aunt Rosa Boykin.

Ronald departed this life on September 22, 2021. He is now joined by his parents Roosevelt Johnson and Pearline Miller- Johnson, sister; Leatha Johnson, brother; Roosevelt Johnson Jr. and daughter; Khaliyah Johnson.
