Vashti Graves Wilson
Vashti G. Wilson entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at her home in Mt. Laurel, NJ.
She is the daughter of the late Freeman Graves and Edmonia Graves Reeves, born in Rawlings, VA on June 27, 1945. She was also reared by her Stepfather Carson Reeves after the death of her father.
Vashti was educated in the Brunswick County Public School System and graduated from James Solomon Russell High School, Lawrenceville, VA in 1964. She continued her education at Virginia State University, Petersburg, VA and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Education in 1968.
It was at Virginia State where she met Theodore Wilson whom she later married in March 1969. They relocated to the State of New Jersey and in 1973, they became the proud parents of Monica.
Vashti was employed by the Franklin Township School district for 10 yrs. and retired from Hamilton Township School district in 2004.
She was a faithful member of Parkway Baptist Church, Willingboro, NJ and was very active in several Ministries including the Diaconate Board, Usher Board, Gospel Choir and Editor of the Church Newsletter.
Vashti enjoyed spending time with family & friends, gardening, and home decorating. Her time was also spent helping others. She had a loving heart and was always ready to help others in their time of need.
She is predeceased by her sisters Marilyn Graves Tucker & Rosamond Graves Jones, and brothers Freeman Graves & Robert Graves. Her memories will be cherished by her devoted husband Theodore of 52 years, Daughter Monica, the love of her life, two Siblings Joyce Claiborne of NJ & Jacquelyn B, Evans (James) of VA, Nieces Lisa Tucker of NJ & Rosamond Jones Daughtrey of CA, and Brother-in-law John Tucker of NJ, Sister-in-law Cheryl Wilson of AZ, Godson Larry Penn of MD, Nephews Derrick & Erike Wilson both of VA and many other relatives and friends.

Celebration of her Life will be held Saturday, August 21, 2021 10AM for family and church family only at the Parkway Baptist Church, 4 Pennypacker Lane, Willingboro, NJ
Public may view at Parkway Baptist: Friday, August 20, 2021 6PM - 8PM and Saturday 9AM - 10AM
